The Heart Behind The Blooms

Meet the people who make Petal Power possible.

Petal Power is a service that salvages flowers and provides bouquets to people at more than 20 non-profit organizations, including nursing homes, shelters, all types of hospitals, the Ronald McDonald House, transitional homes and low-income housing developments. In our first year alone, approximately $220,000 in flowers were salvaged and shared!   How amazing is that?!

Petal Power brings together the strength of parent-child teams who have an opportunity to work together in service, hone their business and philanthropic skills, and cultivate a legacy of giving through the generations. Our army of volunteers share joy, bring smiles to our neighbors faces, and mitigates the potential waste of a powerful natural resource.

Our work provides non-profit and other organizations an opportunity to extend beyond formal fundraising and give to the community's most overlooked and unsung citizens the validation, joy, hope, and delight though the simple, unexpected gift of beauty -- flowers!

and shared. Loni has enlisted the help of her friends and classmates to assist in salvaging and distributing bouquets.
